Lightning Snow: The Journal of Friendly Comet- Day 1

(Sorry this was late! I’m not going to bore you with the whole “Life, schoolwork, etc.” speech, though. Now, let’s get on with the journal!)

Today, the journal of Friendly Comet begins…

My grandmother gave me this journal before she died… I’m just now writing because I have something to write about. My brother, Adventurous Comet, just joined a ship, the S.S. Popstar. He promises to write whenever he can. I told him to mail as many pictures of the lands that he saw as he could. It wasn’t until he left that I started to cry. I’ve stopped crying, but my eyes are still a little red.

I’ve made a decision that I only feel comfortable writing. I’m leaving this island. I’m going to go tell my parents.

Friendly Comet

Later, same day.

I’m going to an island called Cryptids Island. The blimp will leave soon. Goodbye, Mom and Dad. Goodbye, Elizabeth. Goodbye, Fort Ridley.

Later, same day.

Cryptids Island

I’m at Cryptids Island. The blimp just landed. So far, it looks nice. There’s a place called Bert’s Bed and Breakfast… I’m going to see if I can get a room.

See you later,

Friendly Comet

Man, this island is awesome! I found a place called Kitty’s Kites, and I can try out the kites! I’ve never flown a kite before… Wait, I know which one I want! I want a kite with a sun on it…

Got to go,

Friendly Comet

Lonely Drifting: The Diary of Friendly Sun- Day 1

Jan. 26, 2016

10:00 a.m.

Here begins the diary of Friendly Sun, an amateur Poptropican explorer.

I’m standing on an island at the edge of Poptropica, right under a blimp. It’s time to fly.

12:00 p.m.

I’ve made it to a new island… A pilot just asked me if I’m new or not… I’ll tell him that I am new. He’s asking me where I want to start. I’ll ask him to show me the basics.

Got to go,

Friendly Sun

12:30 p.m.

The training was a doozy! I’ll try to get it down before I burst! So, I met the pilot and he told me that he was going to give me “something important,” but it was broken! I jumped up on some platforms to get a metal shard, then went to grab more. I had to do a little swimming, but luckily I had left this diary in a tree to keep it safe. I grabbed a wrench and talked to another pilot, who told me the wrench was hers, but I could keep it. I finished grabbing the metal shards and went to talk to the first pilot, who assembled the shards into a medallion and gave the medallion to me! I’ve taken a picture and pasted it here:

It’s so pretty! I’m wearing it as I write this. A woman has been staring at me for a while now… I’m going to see what she wants.

With love,

Friendly Sun
